Healthcare Programs

Current Programs

1. Naloxone Distribution

We recently registered with the Alberta Health Services Naloxone Program and have multiple volunteers trained in both distributing kits and teaching people how to use them safely. Our trained volunteers are scheduled to distribute hundreds of kits 2-4 times per week in areas with high rates of homelessness and drug use.

Our long-term goal is to grow this program into a full 24/7, year-round naloxone distribution & delivery service, potentially starting with a decommissioned ambulance. Access to naloxone outside of pharmacy hours can save lives, and we’re committed to making it available whenever and wherever it’s needed most.

2. Strategic Referral Program

Our Strategic Referral Program helps people in crisis access the care they need quickly and respectfully. Using a highly curated directory of clinics, specialists, recovery programs, dental services, and social agencies, volunteers provide immediate guidance—including contacts, locations, and support. This basic yet crucial step ensures individuals aren’t navigating the system alone and can begin their path to healing.

Future Program

Mobile Hygiene Unit

Basic hygiene is essential to health, dignity, and well-being. Our Mobile Personal Hygiene Unit will provide free haircuts, basic grooming services, and small hygiene kits containing prepackaged, basic hygiene products and sterile first aid supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness or marginalization. These services offer an immediate sense of dignity, help relieve stress on the healthcare system, and empower people to care for themselves.

The program will be ran by trained volunteers, including experienced hairstylists, and supported through donated hygiene products. By combining practical care with human connection, this initiative will fill a unique service gap, strengthen trust with vulnerable populations, and provides a cost-effective approach to supporting community health while easing the burden on public resources.
