Healthcare Programs
At our organization, we believe that access to compassionate, practical, discrimination free healthcare support should never depend on a person’s bank account, housing status, or the circumstances of their worst day. Our healthcare initiatives are designed to meet people exactly where they are—sometimes literally—and help them take their next steps toward health, stability and dignity.
Current Program
1. Strategic Referral Program
Launching a healthcare initiative as a new nonprofit with a shoestring budget is… bold. But hardship doesn’t wait for perfect timing, and neither do we. We currently can’t do much, but we do what we can! And something is better then nothing.
Our Strategic Referral Program operates on a simple premise: when someone in crisis needs care, we connect them to the right providers as quickly and respectfully as possible. We have assembled & maintain a curated directory of specialist clinics, physicians, recovery programs, dental services, and social-service agencies that specialize in the types of challenges we encounter every day.
Every volunteer carries this resource list, enabling us to offer immediate, actionable guidance—phone numbers, addresses, transportation and the reassurance that someone knows where to begin. Whether it’s a low-income individual seeking affordable dental care or a person battling addiction who’s ready for detox and treatment, we ensure they’re not navigating the system alone.
It’s basic, yes—but for many, it’s the first step toward real healing. And sometimes a first step is everything.
Future Programs
1. Harm Reduction & First Aid Supplies Distribution Unit
We plan to establish one of the nation’s first mobile naloxone & first aid distribution units—an upcycled, decommissioned ambulance stocked with naloxone and essential first-aid items like bandages, antiseptic wipes, and other everyday supplies people in crisis need access to.
No, we won’t be performing medical procedures. We are not healthcare professionals and we don’t pretend to be. Our goal is to empower individuals to care of their own basic safety and health. When pharmacies close, overdoses don’t. A 24/7 naloxone delivery resource means more kits in more hands—and fewer lives lost to preventable overdoses.
To bring this program to life, we must:
Finish finalizing a budget in consultation with our financial team.
Raise the necessary funding through advertising and grants.
Acquire the vehicle, secure appropriate licensing, and complete naloxone distribution training.
This initiative is direct, pragmatic, lifesaving—and urgently needed. The future of crisis intervention is hyper mobile and hopefully rolling around a street near you by the end of 2026.
2. Mobile Personal Hygiene Unit
Hygiene is healthcare. Feeling clean, groomed, and human again can provide a profound emotional reset—especially for those living on the margins and in the midst of mental illness.
In 2026 we intend to launch a mobile hygiene unit that offers free haircuts, basic grooming services, and essential hygiene supplies. Several volunteers with hairstyling backgrounds are already committed to staffing the program, and we have multiple avenues for donated hygiene goods.
To launch this unit, we must:
Finish yearly cost breakdowns & finish finalizing a sustainable operating budget.
Raise startup funds through grant writing and private social media ad campaigns.
Acquire a service vehicle and obtain relevant licenses and training.
To our knowledge, no one else is doing anything quite like this—but we believe offering a fresh haircut, a clean face, and a moment of human connection can open the door to deeper conversations, trust, and long-term support. We plan to have this ready by December 2026.
